Žižkov Television Tower
This afternoon Callum and I visited the Žižkov Television Tower, a striking example of communist-era architecture in Prague. One online site referred to this particular tower as “the second ugliest building in the world”. It certainly stands out from all the traditional architecture in the area. We took the elevator up to the 4th floor of the tower and checked out the views of the city. Afterward, we had a late lunch at a nearby crêperie.
I find communist-regime architecture (and the communist era in general) fascinating, so it made for an interesting visit.
