lately
the other week my parents came down from Canada to see their kids (my sister, who lives in Charleston, and myself) and also to see their grandson of course, which was really great – they don’t get to see him nearly often enough. They looked after him for a few days while Y went to Charleston (spending her first ever night(s) away from Callum). They had a great time together, taking trips to the zoo, to the park, and to the children’s museum, where they currently have a relatively large Clifford exhibit that Callum really enjoys. Meanwhile I completed a few final exams (Finance and Marketing) and have been continuing to get treatments for my ongoing back problems.
Thanksgiving was excellent – Y cooked up a storm once again, and the three of us (my parents had already headed back up north) spent a very nice holiday together. Yesterday we went to the outlet malls in Gaffney, South Carolina (just east of Spartanburg) and found some pretty good deals, which is always a plus when you’re living on a budget. For the rest of the weekend we’ll likely be taking it easy – we need to do some web site work together and I have a Macroeconomics final on Friday for which I need to do some serious reading.
here is a picture from the other week when my parents were in town – it’s Callum of course, in the process of getting up from his spot on the floor reading a book to come and investigate my father’s digital camera. He is currently 19 months old and full of energy!
I think you have to have the most adorable child in all creation right now. 🙂 Go you.
Give Y a hug for me, and enjoy your relaxing weekend.
I can’t believe just how much he looks like you!
HOW CUTE!!!!! And he DOES look a ton like you, though I can see his mum too.
I really have to make a resolution to head to Columbia to see you. Sigh.
That is just the /cutest/ picture!
Wow, does he look like you! Sounds like you had a very nice holiday. I hope your back problems ease up soon.
I love looking at Callum’s pictures — it’s almost like watching you grow up.
