to the lady in the Nissan Pathfinder I passed on the way to work… if you were eating your breakfast with one hand, and talking on your cell phone with the other hand, then what the heck hand were you using to DRIVE?
you know who really rock are the ladies at work who are “garage walkers”. Every day or so they exercise by walking up and down our 6 floor downtown parking garage. What rocks about these people is that there is a perfectly nice _outside_ for them to walk around in and get some fresh air, but they apparently prefer walking up and down a smelly parking garage choked with exhaust fumes. I suppose I can see how walking up the elevation provided by the ramps between floors would provide good exercise for ones’ legs, especially considering how living in Charleston there is hardly any elevation anywhere else in the region, but still. That can’t be lungtastic.
guess I shouldn’t knock it ’til I’ve tried it, but I’ll stick to the gym.
our beginners improv class is over. It culminated in a recital that family and friends were invited to attend. It turned out that the family and friends of our class packed the house! At any rate we were all quite nervous about doing an improv show before it actually started – since we’d only had 7 classes and were still quite new at the sport – but it turned out very well and I think it was a real confidence booster for our class. You could tell that our group was very tightly knit and that we had excellent chemistry going on. Afterwards we went to Vickery’s and drank a few cold ones while talking about our plans to continue to practice improv. I think our teacher, Greg, will also be teaching an intermediate improv class in January, so it’s likely that we’ll be participating in that.
