I saw something on TV the other day that frustrated me.
arrrrrrrr, ye sorry sons of biscuit eaters, I be loaded te the gunwhales on clap o’ thunder, and I don’t be plannin’ on spendin’ the night in the gibbet cage, so man the six pounders and run a shot across the bow. If ye sorry scrogs don’t broadside that cog we’ll be dancin’ the hempen jig by morn. Scuttle that plate fleet and this scurvy dog’ll be crackin’ Jenny’s tea cup with a black jack o’ Nelson’s folly in me hand and a chest o’ doubloons by me side by day’s end, by thunder. No prey, no pay. So hoist the jack and bring ‘er alongside, says I. Thar be some ladies of expansive sensibility awaitin’ me at dock.
baby update: Callum is sitting up (albiet with some assistance – he can only go a few seconds without toppling over).
in other news it looks like we will not get HURRICANED. That’s good news for us but bad news for the people in Pamlico Beach. So it goes. I’m sure we’ll get plenty of rain but no flying cows which is a plus.
I’ve been playing a bit with Blosxom. It is a very cool weblogging program that stores entries as text files (so that you can use a text editor to make an entry) and uses directory trees to indicate heirarchy. I have a few unused domain names that I wouldn’t mind putting online – I might use Blosxom to create these sites.
Newman’s Own makes some pretty good pasta sauces. The Hot & Spicy and Sockarooni sauces are the best of the lot, I think. They serve well as a base for a good sauce – if you add some meat and some vegetables to these sauces they manage to maintain their spicyness. They go especially well with cheese tortellini, I find. A lot of the cheaper sauces out there end up tasting like bland, mushy tomatoes and ruin an otherwise good meal.
that is all.
