A visit to Prague Castle
Yesterday and today I walked around Prague Castle, the largest ancient castle in the world. It features palaces, gardens, a monastery, a Romanesque basilica, and a Gothic cathedral founded in the year 930. There are also plenty of exhibits demonstrating what life was like during various stages of the castle’s history: historically furnished rooms, weapons and armor, paintings and sculptures, and even a room of medieval torture devices. It’s a neat place to explore, though I’m glad I wasn’t around for much of its history.
